Castle Canyon coal mine is located in Huntington, Utah, with bituminous coal. Raw coal has high sulfur content, high reject content and calorific value of 4200kcal / kg, which can not meet the requirements of coal consumption index of power plant, resulting in a large amount of stacking. In April 2019, the coal mine purchased a set of 1.0mt/a dry coal preparation system. After the equipment is operated, the calorific value of clean coal reaches 5500kcal / kg, with remarkable desulfurization effect, which greatly enhances the market competitiveness of coal sales and improves the overall income of the coal mine.
